Prospect is live as the dMRV platform for UECCC´s RBF program

We are excited to announce that, as of November 1st, Prospect has gone live as the digital monitoring, reporting, and verification (dMRV) platform for the Uganda Energy Credit Capitalisation Company’s (UECCC) Electricity Access Scale Up Project (EASP)!

The EASP’s results-based financing (RBF) scheme is primarily funded by the World Bank and includes participation of ca. 90 energy service companies seeking to distribute solar home systems and commercial systems, solar lanterns, technologies for schools and hospitals, cook stoves, and systems for productive use of energy. Its objective is to increase energy access for Ugandan households, businesses, industrial parks, and public institutions.            

The Prospect team customised the platform to meet UECCC’s and its stakeholders’ needs and has successfully onboarded all users of the instance. The automatic collection, aggregation, and analysis of the recorded data will enable Ugandan government officials to effectively monitor all funded projects and progress made on their electrification strategy. Energy service companies on the other hand will digitalise their sales efficiently, whilst RBF claims will be managed using customized dashboards, and will be verified automatically and digitally. This is expected to facilitate the swift disbursement of RBF tranches.
