Call For Bids: Electric Cooking Research Project in Uganda

A2EI is seeking a local partner to implement a research project on electric cooking conducted over 18 months with 500 households in the greater Kampala metropolitan area. A2EI is soliciting proposals from qualified organizations to implement the project.

The project is a research project to study the utilization of electric cooking appliances in households and shall take place over 12 months and be conducted with 500 households in the greater Kampala metropolitan area. Households that participate in the project will receive electric cooking appliances and smart meters that are used to capture real-time data on the appliance usage. Throughout the study, the participants will be surveyed and will receive reimbursements for their electricity consumption based on their overall appliance utilization.
