Assisting healthcare electrification in Nigeria with dMRV
We are pleased about Prospect’s continuing role as a dMRV tool for healthcare electrification in Nigeria. As part of its mandate to monitor all Delegation of the European Union to Nigeria and ECOWAS funded energy installations in Nigeria, Prospect will also serve as the digital monitoring, reporting, and verification (dMRV) platform for solar installations under the Nigeria Solar for Health Project (NISHP). The initiative aims to provide primary healthcare centres with sustainable 24/7 energy access. Last week, at the Project Developers Roundtable Workshop in Abuja, the EU announced a €10.4m investment in NISHP.
During the event Oladipupo Oshodi, Nigeria coordinator at Prospect, showcased how the platform empowers project stakeholders through:
☑️ automating data collection and verification;
☑️ reducing manual reporting burdens and compliance tasks;
☑️ seamlessly integrating with existing technologies;
☑️ delivering real-time insights for smarter decision-making and transparency;
☑️ supporting benchmarking and system optimization through long-term analytics.
These features are key as NISHP progresses, helping to ensure the continual sustainability of deployed systems, measure impact, and facilitate data-driven learning and evaluation. We are thrilled to collaborate with stakeholders across the health and energy sectors to integrate reliable solar energy with comprehensive dMRV to improve healthcare outcomes!
