A2EI solar generator workshop in Nigeria

A huge thank-you to everyone who made our 2-day deep dive into how to replace the millions of dirty fuel generators in Nigeria with clean solar solutions a success!

We just hosted an exciting field trip and workshop in Abuja, Nigeria – getting close up with the realities of both fuel and solar generators, meeting customers and visiting enterprises on the ground. We engaged with and listened to customers and business owners, their needs, concerns – and most of all: their requests for efficient, quiet, healthy and affordable alternatives to fossil fuel generators. We met with distributors and discussed the opportunities and challenges they face in scaling the provision of solar generators. And we met with local authorities, financial institutions, and donors who are crucial to unlocking the scale up of solar solutions.

To wrap it up, we engaged in focused discussions on how to digest the input from different stakeholders, and brainstormed ideas on how to solve the main difficulty distributors are facing – acquiring hard currency working capital to pre-finance solar systems.

Watch this space for more on the solutions we are coming up with!
